Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has announced plans to construct an indoor boxing ring named after two-time former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua.

The governor made the announcement when he hosted Joshua in his office, where he also unveiled plans to give the boxing champion a brand new house in Sagamu.

“I want to openly request that, besides the fact that today we are going to officially confirm you as our sports ambassador, we want to request that you come back to light up the Gateway Sports Festival torch,” Abiodun said.

Joshua, who was named Ogun State’s sports ambassador, promised to promote the state’s numerous talents to the rest of the world.

“I will work towards promoting Ogun State to the rest of the world by showcasing the numerous talents in the state,” he said.
