The state government disclosed that the Ogun State Police Command has filed a six-count charge against the activist following a petition submitted by the state over her online statements.

This was made known in a statement released on Monday via the official X handle of the Ogun State Government by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN.
According to the statement, the issue escalated after Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua, was involved in a road accident in Ogun State in December 2025. The activist reportedly released videos alleging the absence of emergency ambulance services in the state and accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of abandoning public welfare.
The Attorney General said Just Adetoun falsely claimed that there were no ambulance services in Ogun State and further alleged that Governor Abiodun was in Ghana engaging in personal activities instead of attending to the welfare of the boxer.
Ogungbade described the allegations as false, malicious, and misleading, noting that they posed a serious public safety risk by discouraging residents from accessing available healthcare services.
He stated that Ogun State operates multiple state-owned and state-supported emergency ambulance services across the state.
Following the viral videos, the state petitioned the police over alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act, 2015. The police subsequently invited the activist on January 2, 2026, asking her to appear on January 5, but she failed to honour the invitation.

Despite publicly claiming to have evidence to support her allegations, the Attorney General said she neither appeared before the police nor provided any proof, choosing instead to go into hiding.
While evading arrest, the activist allegedly released another video claiming she was ill and unable to honour the police invitation. Her lawyer later forwarded a medical report to the police, purportedly issued by a Lagos-based doctor.
However, police investigations revealed that the medical report was fabricated. The doctor allegedly admitted that he neither met nor examined Adetoun Onajobi, contrary to the claims in the document.
The Attorney General confirmed that the doctor was arrested, charged, and remanded for fraudulent medical documentation and obstruction of justice.
Ogungbade said the activist remains at large and questioned her credibility, wondering why someone who claimed to have evidence failed to present it to law enforcement or make it public.
The statement also accused Just Adetoun of previous misconduct, alleging that she once bullied a woman sweeping an estate in Lagos and unlawfully filmed and shared images of the woman’s underage child on social media.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed that the activist was invited following a formal petition over her online attacks against Governor Abiodun.
