The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of two Chinese nationals, Wenguang and Ding, in the Kemta area of the Ewekoro local government.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola on Monday, the incident occurred along the Onigbedu road of the state.
Odutola revealed that the kidnappers have contacted the victims’ company to demand a ransom for their release.
The company’s security supervisor reported that one of the expatriates informed him about the kidnapping and the demand for money in exchange for their freedom.

It was said that a comprehensive search operation was launched by the Ewekoro Division operatives, assisted by local vigilantes, military personnel from the Social Orientation and Safety Corps, local hunters, and other security groups.
However, despite their efforts, the victims were not found in the Kémta Village forest.
Odutola assured that the police were working tirelessly to ensure the safe release of the kidnapped Chinese nationals.
He added that the Command was exploring all possible avenues to secure their freedom and apprehend the culprits.
