In a historic ceremony at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Tuesday, Senator Monday Okpebholo was officially sworn in as the Governor of Edo State, with Dennis Idahosa taking the oath of office as his deputy.

The Chief Justice of Edo State, Daniel Okungbowa, administered the oaths to the new leaders, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the state’s governance.

As they took their oaths, both Okpebholo and Idahosa pledged to uphold the Constitution of Nigeria, serve within its frameworks, and focus on improving the lives of Edo citizens.
