Spain and Japan Secure Olympic Quarterfinal Spots in Paris 2024 Olympics
Two countries, Spain and Japan, have secured their places in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 Olympics men’s football tournament.
Japan progressed to the knockout stage with a 1-0 victory over Mali in their Group D encounter over the weekend. Japan now tops the group with six points from two matches, ahead of second-placed Paraguay with three points. Mali and Israel both have one point each.

Spain advanced to the last eight by topping Group C with six points and a game in hand. They are followed by Egypt with four points, while the Dominican Republic has one point and Uzbekistan has none.
The Olympic Quarterfinal stage is set to commence on August 3.
