Omah Lay Reveals Belief That Davido Hated Him, Surprised by Public Support

Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, recently made a surprising revelation about his perception of senior colleague Davido.

In an unexpected confession, the “Soso” crooner admitted to harboring the belief that Davido held animosity towards him. Omah Lay’s disclosure came in response to Davido playing his songs while chauffeuring popular American content creator Kai Cenat around Lagos on Monday night.

Taking to his X handle on Tuesday, Omah Lay candidly wrote, “I’ve always thought OBO [Davido] hated me!”

This instance marked the first public acknowledgment of Davido actively promoting Omah Lay’s music. Despite their lack of collaboration thus far, Omah Lay, a Port Harcourt native, stands out as one of the emerging Nigerian artists yet to secure a joint project with OBO.
