Omo-Agege praises Ewubare’s pedigree and experience in the international oil industry, calling his return a game-changer for NNPC’s reform efforts.
Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has congratulated Roland Ewubare on his appointment as Group Chief Operating Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Omo-Agege described the appointment as a bold move that will bring fresh impetus to reform Nigeria’s oil industry.
In a statement signed by Sunny Areh, Media Adviser to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, on April 5, 2025, Omo-Agege praised Ewubare’s pedigree and experience in the international oil industry.
“His return is a game-changer for NNPC Limited’s reform efforts,” Omo-Agege said.
Ewubare’s impressive background includes working at Schlumberger’s New York office and graduating from Harvard Law School.
His first stint at NNPC as Group General Manager, NAPIMS, and Chief Operating Officer overseeing Upstream and Ventures directorates, positions him well to drive President Bola Tinubu’s plan to boost investments in the oil and gas industry.

“I am very excited to have Mr. Ewubare back at NNPC which needs his revolutionary ideas and initiatives to put it on the right keel now that President Tinubu has given it the leverage to operate as a commercial entity.
