Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the immediate past President of the Senate and Delta State APC governorship candidate in the 2023 election, met with President Bola Tinubu at the presidential villa on Saturday.
The visit comes weeks after some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Delta State, led by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, also met with the President.
Omo-Agege has been on a “thanking tour” to members of the party across the 25 local government areas of the state.
Omo-Agege confirmed the visit to President Tinubu in a post on his verified social media handles on Sunday.
The post accompanied a photo of him and the President exchanging pleasantries at the State House.
According to Omo-Agege, the discussion during the meeting was centered on the country’s development and progress, with a special focus on happenings in Delta State.

“Last night, I had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. “We had a productive discussion on growth, development, and progress for our nation, with a focus on Delta State, and I’m optimistic about the future,” he stated.
Senator Omo-Agege represented Delta Central senatorial district of Delta State, where he rose to become Deputy President of the Senate, between 2016 to 2023.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Delta APC governorship candidate in the 2023 election, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to transforming the Nigerian economy.
Speaking during his interactive leaders and stakeholders’ meetings in Warri South-West, Isoko South, and Isoko North local government areas, Omo-Agege praised President Tinubu’s courageous economic reforms, which are poised to lead Nigeria out of its current challenges.
