Pelumi Folorunsho, a 24-year-old man has been accused of sodomizing his eight-year-old step-brother in Akure, Ondo State.
Folorunsho was subsequently arrested by men of the Nigeria Police, Ondo State Command.
According to the police, the incident took place at Folorunsho’s residence on No 3, Odige Street, NEPA area of Akure metropolis, where he was caught in the act by concerned neighbors.
Prompt action was taken by the neighbors, who further handed him over to the security operatives.

The case was brought before the Family Magistrate Court, where Folorunsho faced a one-count charge of indecent assault.
The court proceedings revealed that the offense occurred on September 16, 2023, at approximately 3 pm.
The police prosecutor, Martins Olowofeso, presented evidence that Folorunsho forcefully inserted his manhood into his step-brother’s anus, causing him harm.
The Police Prosecutor said:
“The defendant removed the victim’s trouser and forcefully inserted his manhood into his anus, when their parents were not around.
“That you, Pelumi Folorunsho, ‘m’ on September 16, 2023 at 3 pm at No 3a , Odige, NEPA area of Akure in the Ondo State Magisterial District, did indecently assault an 8-year-old boy, by intentionally penetrating into his anus with your penis, and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 3(1) (a) of the VAPPLAW of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2021.”
In his judgment, the presiding judge, Mr F A Aduroja, ordered that the accused be kept in police custody until the verdict was delivered.
Aduroha also ordered the accused to cut the bushes around the police station for two weeks.
He adjourned the case to October 5, 2023, for a verdict.
