Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a palm wine tapper identified as Sunday Mima, for allegedly raping an 80-year-old woman to death.
The suspect allegedly attacked the victim identified as Aderibigbe Felicia, a native of Ore in Odigbo council in the state, on her farm, stripped her naked and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The suspect was apprehended by some youths in the community who reportedly found in his possession the victim’s mobile phone.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, while confirming the incident said it was a case of rape and murder.
She added that the suspect would soon be paraded by the command after interrogation and subsequently charged to court.
