Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has tested negative for COVID-19 after days in self-isolation.

This was disclosed by the Governor on Monday during a press briefing. He said that the doctors confirmed his negative status twice.

The Governor had earlier tested positive to the pandemic virus after his test result returned positive in the previous week.

This is coming after the alleged rift between the Governor and his Deputy, Agboola Ajayi. The latter who had defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had issued a 21-days ultimatum to Governor Akeredolu to hand over power prior to the Governor’s recovery from COVID-19.
