One Year in Office: INC NEC Appreciates God, Lists Achievements

One Year in Office: INC NEC Appreciates God, Lists Achievements | Daily Report Nigeria

Members of the National Executive Council of the apex socio-cultural organisation, Ijaw National Congress, INC, on Sunday gave thanks to God for a successful one year in office.

The NEC members in a service at the Redeem Christian Church, Goshen Parish on Sunday, May 15, 2022, thanked God for the grace and opportunity given to them to serve the Ijaw nation under the umbrella of the INC.

President of the organisation, Professor Benjamin Okaba in his address, thanked God for the restoration, dignity and vibrancy of the Ijaw Nation Congress.

He also thanked God for the unity and peace he enjoys within the INC.

The President, further stated that the INC had been in a comatose for seven years without a leader and a voice to speak for the Ijaw nation.

He thanked God for the well-being of all the NEC members

The Pastor of RCGG, Goshen Parish, Province 4, Yenagoa, Pastor Obiene Kumosouyo while delivering the sermon admonished members on the need to always give thanks to God to be complete, referring to the one leper who returned to Jesus Christ and became whole.

According to him, ”only the living that gives thanks to God. Some of us think that when we are blessed, or made some great height in life, it is by our strength and connection. Some of us give thanks only when the going is good,” he said.

He prayed for the INC President and his team for peace in their homes and unity in the Ijaw nation to achieve more great things during their tenure.

In a related development, the Publicity Secretary of the organisation Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, after the service highlighted some of the achievements of the 8th NEC within the one year, to include, the all Ijaw summit, putting in place the various tiers of government of the INC, which includes, the various zones and chapters, the National Representatives Council and clan executives.

The Publicity Secretary also informed newsmen of the Ijaw App and the engagement of a cartographer to come up with an Ijaw map in no distant time.
