Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has expressed dismay over some social media reports claiming that the All Progressive Congress, APC Northern governors had agreed and approved the zoning of the party’s presidential ticket to south.
He said the decision of the northern governors agreeing to the zoning arrangement was just a recommendation.
He, however made it known that the Northern Governors are ready to succumb to President Muhammadu’s decision on the issue.

Badaru, who is one of the All Progressive Congress, APC presidential aspirants stated this in an interview with BBC Hausa service on Sunday.
According to the governor: “The truth of the matter, it is just an advice that will be taken to Baba [Buhari], if he agrees to take it if he does not agree then whatever he decides is what we are going to work on it his since we are all Northern Governors are loyal to him,”

“All of us are loyal to him and will not go against his decision”
He further revealed that the governors of Kebbi, Plateau and Nasarawa have been assigned to go and advise on our decision”
