The two highest-ranking Yoruba monarchs, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi and the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi met with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola earlier today in one of the Alaafin’s private residences in Ibadan, with a view to resolving the schism between Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
According to sources close to the palace, the reconciliation process is proceeding smoothly and as planned, and both parties have expressed a willingness to put their differences aside and move forward in the interests of all, Osun and Yorubaland.
Concerned Yoruba stakeholders, the ruling party, and some influential thought leaders have stepped in and are already exploring ways to broker a truce between the two former good friends.

All well-meaning people of influence in political and religious circles have urged Tinubu and Aregbesola to follow the path of peace and reconciliation in the best interests of all.
With the involvement of these high-ranking monarchs and Aregbesola’s attendance at the meeting, it appears that these calls are beginning to bear fruit.
As events unfold, it appears that the much-needed peace and harmony are returning to the progressive fold and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the South-West.
