Controversial Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, disappointed the Yoruba race when he visited President Muhammadu Buhari of recent over the herdsmen crisis rocking the South-West region.


The activist while stating this on Wednesday, February 3, at a virtual townhall meeting with Yoruba In Diaspora, said the monarch failed to convey the displeasure and pains of the Yoruba people to the President during the visit.


Oba Ogunwusi after the meeting had urged Sunday not to take law into his hands.

The Yoruba monarch had said though Sunday had done well to speak for the Yoruba race, it was high time he allowed the constituted authorities including the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to handle the security challenges in the state.


However, Sunday said some high profile politicians were behind Ooni’s latest move.


He added that the monarch disappointed the Yoruba people by not speaking against the killer herdsmen in the region when he met with the president.
