A faction of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), the New Era OPC, has criticized the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Abiodun Adams, for his recent comments against President Bola Tinubu.

The group described Adams’ criticism as unwarranted and damaging to the unity of the Yoruba people.

Adams had written an open letter to Tinubu, expressing disappointment with his handling of the petroleum sector and the recent hike in petrol price.

However, the New Era OPC faulted Adams for blaming Tinubu for the maladministration of previous governments.

The group’s National President, Arogundade Rasak, said Tinubu’s administration is laying a solid foundation for good governance and urged Nigerians to be patient for the policies to yield results.

He emphasized that the country’s problems are a result of mismanagement by successive governments and that citizens must take responsibility for solving them.
