20 people have been arrested for allegedly indulging in open defecation in Lagos state.

According to reports from the state commissioner of environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, through a post on his X handle, the individuals were arrested following a patrol by the operatives of the corp.

He wrote;

“Open Defecation, During patrol and monitoring of Ojodu – Berger yesterday night and early hours of today, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial arrested 20 individuals for committing environmental infractions,”
