Organizers Announce N100k Grand Prize For Maiden Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney | Daily Report Nigeria

Organizers have announced details of the maiden Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney, Burutu.

The competition aimed at raising awareness on the need for knowledge, is billed to take place in Burutu, headquarters of Burutu Council Area, for two days.

According to a statement by Local Organizing Chairman, Ekisah Ebizimor and Ken Odubodatu, Secretary Organizing Committee, the tournament will unearth future champions in the game of scrabble.

The statement reads in part;

“We officially announce that the maiden edition of the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney will hold December 1 – 2, 2022.

“The tourney tagged “unearthing champions” is aimed at discovering new breed of champions for the game while raising an awareness for intellectual consciousness.

“16 contestant will do battle in this year’s event with the eight official kingdoms in Burutu Council Area to present two participants each.

“Participant will compete in groups, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final stages for the grand prize of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00).

“We by this notice open our doors for well-meaning individuals, groups, NGOs and government officials for partnership in this regard.”

Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney

The Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney is a brainchild of Tare Magbei, a digital entrepreneur and good governance advocate.

This year’s event is organized in partnership with the Nigeria youth Organization, Burutu Chapter.
