Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel faces a potential suspension of up to 10 games following his involvement in the post-match violence that erupted after the club’s away victory against Trabzonspor last weekend.
Osayi-Samuel found himself in a brawl with some home fans who stormed the pitch after the Turkish Super Lig clash. Reports from Turkey suggest that the Nigerian international could be charged with violent conduct by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Disciplinary Committee.
In an attempt to mitigate the consequences, the 26-year-old is expected to argue self-defense to avoid severe punishment. The case is scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday, April 2.
