Vows unwavering commitment to PDP and Osun people
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has dismissed rumours of his planned defection, declaring that he remains firmly in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is not leaving for any other political platform.
Speaking on Monday during the flag-off of the dualisation of the 3.5km Ila township road in Ila-Orangun, Adeleke reiterated his commitment to serving the people and strengthening his administration’s infrastructural strides.
“I was elected on the platform of the PDP and so shall I remain in the party. I’m not going anywhere,” Adeleke said firmly.

The governor expressed satisfaction over the new project despite what he described as “lingering uncertainties” in the country, vowing not to relent in delivering dividends of democracy to Osun residents.
Adeleke disclosed that his administration has completed the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and renovation of over 175 kilometres of roads, while several dualisation and flyover projects are at various stages of completion.
He noted the importance of the ongoing 39km Osogbo–Ikirun–Inisha–Okuku–Ijabe–Ila Odo road project, which links Osun to neighbouring Kwara State, pledging to ensure its timely completion.
“The second phase we are flagging off today is almost the same length as what was completed in 12 years. By God’s grace, we intend to deliver this project within 12 months,” the governor stated.
Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Osun, saying he made a vow to God and the citizens to serve diligently and would not allow distractions to derail his mission.
“Our gathering here to witness the materialisation of a new era is not an accident of history. We are all programmed by Almighty God to be what we have been, what we are, and what we will be in the future,” he said.
