Men of the Nigeria Police Special Constabulary, on Wednesday, held a protest on the streets of Osun State capital, Osogbo due to the non-payment of their 18 months allowances by the management of the Nigeria Police Force.

The police constabularies surrounded the popular Oke-Fia roundabout and moved towards Alekuwodo to Olaiya junction to note their displeasure.

Furthermore, the protesters, dressed in police uniforms and armed, held placards with different inscriptions to tell their grievances.

They also told a tragic event of how four of them had been killed by armed robbers during attacks on banks in Ikire and Iragbiji in one year.

The Osun Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, while trying to calm the protesters, promised to give a press briefing later in the day.
