Football fans across the globe habe expressed deep disappointment at Napoli for mocking striker Victor Osimhen.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Italian club posted two videos on their official TikTok handle to mock Osimhen for missing a penalty in last weekend’s 0-0 draw against Bologna.
In the videos that were deleted shortly after, the club made fun of the Nigerian striker for demanding and missing the spot kick.
One of the videos described Osimhen as not a boy or girl, but rather a coconut.

Zala said, “Why y’all deleting your initial comments?? When kvara missed a penalty in the biggest stage (UCL) nobody trolled him. But when Victor doesn’t score a penalty in the league they immediately start making fun of him. Simply means they’ve been waiting for him to decline to start trolling him.”
Nkunku’s Houseboy said, “This is just pathetic from Napoli , a player wins you scudetto after 30 years and this is his reward.”
Ade said, “this is pure racism and should be frowned at.. the joke is too out of pocket for your best player last season.. disgraceful and ungrateful lord.”
ShawnIfee wrote, “Saw this earlier, and I was in shock. He really should leave Napoli in January or next summer. They don’t deserve him!”
Omo Kogi, “Victor Osimhen ought to have left Napoli for those Saudi clubs, as I have already stated and will continue to do so. The offer was simply too excellent to turn down. In addition, he can still visit Europe in two to four years to observe how people treat him disrespectfully because he is black.”
Oluwapundittt said, “Osimhen is y’all most important player and gets so much disrespect not only by fans but also the club management. He gave you your first seria A title in three decades. Napoli don’t deserve him. How can a club be rascist towards their own player smh.”
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, described the move by the club as ‘acceptable’, hinting that his client might take legal action against Napoli.
Osimhen guided Napoli to their first Serie A crown in 33 years after scoring 26 league goals to finish as top scorer.
