Over 20,000 candidates are participating in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Zonal General Aptitude Test for the 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46 recruitment exercise.

The examination is being held across 15 designated centres nationwide, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.

In a statement, NAF spokesman Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the widespread locations were chosen to promote inclusiveness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all qualified candidates.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, highlighted that the aptitude test is a critical stage for merit-based selection, ensuring the recruitment of high-quality personnel essential to the operational effectiveness of the Air Force.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to selecting the best candidates by merit, as personnel quality is key to fulfilling our constitutional mandate,” Aneke stated.

This recruitment drive comes as the Police Service Commission and Nigeria Police Force plan to recruit 50,000 new personnel following a directive from President Bola Tinubu on November 26, aimed at boosting national security manpower.
