Over 300 Boko Haram, ISWAP Insurgents Surrender [PHOTOS]

At least 314 members of the Islamic State’s West Africa Province, ISWAP, and Boko Haram have surrendered to Nigerian Army in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The development was made known by Nigerian Army Headquarters in a post on its social media pages.

According to the post, about 12 farmers who were abducted by the terrorists were also rescued.

The Army’s post reads: “The ongoing offensive onslaught against terrorism in the North East recorded another success today, 29 June, 2022, as 314 Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters surrendered to troops in Bama LGA of Borno State.

“Additionally, 12 farmers were also rescued by the troops. Profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing”
