Nigerian singer Oxlade, whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, has shared an interesting detail about his early musical beginnings.
On a recent episode of the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade revealed that he began singing before he even learned to speak.
According to him, his parents mentioned that he was already singing before he could form words.

He noted that his ability to sing developed ahead of his speaking skills. “I started singing before I started talking,” he said.
“My parents told me that I was singing even before I could talk properly. I think that’s where my talent began.”
