Ikuforiji Olaitan, better known as Oxlade in the Afro-pop scene, recently opened up about a challenging ordeal he faced. In a candid discussion on the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, he shared that he endured a significant setback after a private video of him was leaked online.

The leak, which occurred via Snapchat in February 2022, resulted in the loss of endorsement deals amounting to over N400 million.

Oxlade revealed that prior to the leak, he had been targeted by blackmailers who threatened to expose the video. Despite the distress caused by the leak, he expressed a sense of relief, as it put an end to the ongoing extortion attempts.
