A minimum of three youths have been left with life-threatening injuries following a clash with police operatives in Ughelli, Delta State.

The protesters blocked a section of the road with wooden materials and also burnt tyres, while lamenting over the activities of EFCC operatives.

The protest, which started around 11am also saw the youths set ablaze over twenty vehicles, including trucks loaded with granites.

However, police operatives deployed to calm the situation reportedly fired gunshots at the protesters, leading to the sustenance of life-threatening injuries.

The development is coming just a couple of days after the EFCC arrested almost 100 youths in Warri and environs for suspected cybercrime activities.

The Delta State Police Command was yet to comment on the incident as of press time.
