PAP: Niger Delta Group Backs Otuaro, Warns Against Naysayers

A Niger Delta group under the aegis of Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thought has thrown its weight behind Dr. Dennis Otuaro, following his appointment as Sole Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

In a statement by its Chairman, Comrade Jackson Agbor, the group also warned one Elder Emmanuel Ishaka from making hateful remarks against Otuaro’s appointment.

The group noted cited Otuaro’s rich qualifications as a pointer to his capabilities to oversee the programme.

The statement reads;

“We, the leadership and members of the Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thought, write to express our unwavering support for the appointment of Chief (Dr) Dennis Otuaro and to caution Elder Emmanuel Ishaka regarding his attempts to discredit this appointment.

“We firmly believe that Chief (Dr) Otuaro’s appointment as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) is both divine and timely for the best interest of the Niger Delta people and the restructuring of the PAP.

“We would like to emphasize and celebrate the exceptional qualifications and remarkable contributions of Dr. Dennis Otuaro as he assumes this significant role. President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Dr. Otuaro reflects his forward-thinking approach, and we believe it deserves our enthusiastic support.

“We call on the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to caution Elder Emmanuel Ishaka and put an end to his misleading statements and baseless lies aimed at discrediting the Renew Hope Agenda of Mr. President.

“This appointment marks the first time in the history of the presidential amnesty program that a Deltan has been considered, and we should embrace this progress instead of making frivolous statements driven by jealousy and bitterness.

“We firmly warn Elder Ishaka to desist from such myopic and childish behavior, as it only brings embarrassment to the party (APC) at all levels.

“Dr. Otuaro’s qualifications and expertise makes him an ideal candidate for the position of PAP Administrator. His outstanding professional achievements, combined with his unwavering commitment to public service, demonstrate his ability to effectively carry out the responsibilities of this crucial role.

“President Tinubu’s choice of Dr. Otuaro signifies a recognition of his competence and potential to bring about positive change within the Presidential Amnesty Program.

“Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge Dr. Otuaro’s substantial contributions to the growth and success of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Dr. Otuaro’s dedication to the APC extends beyond electoral campaigns, as he has consistently exhibited loyalty, dedication, and a remarkable capacity to contribute to the party’s advancement on various fronts.
