PAP: Niger Delta Youths Declare Support For Otuaro, Commends Tinubu

PAP: Niger Delta Youths Declare Support For Otuaro, Commends Tinubu | Daily Report Nigeria

Youths and stakeholders across the Niger Delta have declared support for Dr. Dennis Otuaro over his appointment as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The youths and stakeholders under the aegis of Niger Delta Youths Stakeholders Coalition, made the declaration during a solidarity march on Wednesday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

Addressing newsmen, Convener of the Voalition, Apostle Bodmas Kemepade commended President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Otuaro whom he describes as a Niger Deltan through and through.

Kemepade emphasized that someone like Otuaro who understands the struggles of the region is bound to stabilize the peace and tranquility currently enjoyed across the Niger Delta.

“We are saying that Otuaro’s appointment will bring stable peace in the Niger Delta. Because of this appointment, there will be no gunshot, nor any iota of restiveness in our region” Kemepade stressed.

The convener further commended President Tinubu for engaging critical stakeholders in areas such as the securing of oil pipelines, which has yielded both peace and employment across the region.

On his part, the Deputy Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Ellington Bakumor noted admonished naysayers to shun “Pull Him Down Syndrome and work in collaboration with Otuaro towards the collective good of the Niger Delta.”

“The stakeholders of the Niger Delta are in total support of the Otuaro’s appointment. Before now there was agitation that we need someone who understands the through struggles of the Niger Delta to be appointed into the office.

“President Tinubu has appointed a very capable hand and we are saying we are are in support of that appointment especially because Otuaro has started showing working just few days in office,” Bakumor added.

The youth leaders subsequently warned that any plot to cause unrest in the region by oppositions of Otuaro’s appointment will not be tolerated by stakeholders.

While Otuaro’s appointment has stirred up reactions and oppositions from a few quarters, several groups have echoed their support for him.
