A woman who allegedly destroyed her husband’s international passport at Lagos Airport has been taken into custody and transported to Abuja for further questioning.

The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, sparked a wave of reactions from online users.

Many praised the arrest, condemning the act as both unreasonable and illegal. Some suggested that if the incident was staged for social media clout, both the woman and her husband should face legal consequences.

Social media users flooded the comments section, with one user noting that mutilating a passport is a crime regardless of the circumstances.

Another user sarcastically remarked that the couple should continue their “content” behind bars.

Some users questioned whether the incident was a genuine act of domestic discord or a stunt for social media attention. One comment read, “Is this content or real? We no longer know what’s real and what’s not.”

Others criticized the growing trend of creating controversial content for attention, with one user stating that the “thirst for clout” has led to this incident.

Another user added that all “nuisances disguised as content creators” should be arrested.
