The Lagos State Police Command has formally closed its investigation into Pastor Paul Adefarasin after confirming that the object he was seen holding in a viral video was a stun gun, not a firearm.

The police concluded that there were “no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter,” ending the public scrutiny of the incident.

The development was outlined in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, who noted that Pastor Adefarasin voluntarily presented himself for questioning.

Following a thorough investigation and interrogation, the authorities determined that no criminal offence had occurred.
