Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor, has issued a public apology to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, dramatically kneeling before his congregation during a Sunday church service as he admitted to past mistakes amid an ongoing public controversy.
The apology comes after days of intense social media exchanges between Pastor Okafor and Doris Ogala, with the actress accusing the cleric of betrayal, emotional manipulation, and reneging on alleged marriage promises.

In a now-viral video shared online on Sunday, the pastor was seen standing at the pulpit before pausing to address the issue directly.
“Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody,” Okafor said.
“I am sorry to everyone I have offended, to Doris Ogala also. I sincerely apologise.”

He went further to express readiness to make amends, stating that he was open to restitution where necessary.
“I am ready to make restitution to anyone, any lady I have offended. I am sorry. Forgive me,” he added.
In an emotional moment that drew loud reactions from the congregation, Pastor Okafor knelt down before church members, asking for prayers and forgiveness.
“I am not perfect. I’ve never been perfect. I kneel before the church today. Pray for me,” he said.
The public apology follows weeks of allegations by Ogala, who claimed the cleric had promised marriage after allegedly influencing the collapse of her previous relationship. The situation escalated further after Okafor reportedly married another woman, identified as Pearl, earlier in the week.
While the pastor had initially dismissed the accusations and hinted at legal action, the sustained public pressure appears to have prompted his public show of remorse.
