According to Le Parisien, the sentence was confirmed by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office. The 43-year-old reportedly owes €969,000 in unpaid alimony.

Evra is accused of abandoning Sandra Evra and their two children between May 1, 2021, and September 28, 2023.

Although the 12-month sentence is suspended for two years, the former France international must pay his wife €4,000 for moral damages and €2,000 for legal costs.
