Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to strengthen their attack by signing a “proven” centre-forward before the end of the summer transfer window.
While Manchester United have already added Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee and Lille defender Leny Yoro to their squad, Scholes believes they need a more experienced forward.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Paul Scholes said, “When I think of Manchester United, I think of great centre-forwards. They have a young player, Rasmus Hojlund, who they relied on last year, but it’s a bit much to ask of him at this stage in his career. They’ve added another young player in Zirkzee, but I’d like to see a seasoned striker come in—someone who can consistently deliver goals. They need a proven forward to ensure success next season.”
