The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed confidence that its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, will win at least 65% of the votes in the upcoming Edo State governorship election.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, made this statement at a news conference in Abuja

Ologunagba claimed that Ighodalo’s “Prosperity for All Agenda” has resonated with citizens across political parties and apolitical individuals in Edo State. He also alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, are overwhelmed by Ighodalo’s massive support.

However, Ologunagba raised concerns about alleged plans to disrupt the electoral process. He claimed that some individuals are attempting to manipulate the INEC bio-data process and instil fear in the people of Edo State.

Ighodalo’s wife, Ifeyinwa, also campaigned for her husband, urging traders and residents to vote for him. She promised that her husband would bring prosperity to the state if elected.
