The presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday revealed that he met with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in several occasions.
According to Atiku, he met with Wike five times in Abuja, Port Harcourt and London.
Atiku, who spoke at The People’s Townhall meeting by Channels Television, said the meeting was aimed at resolving the crisis within PDP.

He, however, noted that the meeting had no way forward.
Atiku said,
“I have met Wike two times in Port Harcourt, two times in Abuja, one time in London, personally. It is not on my part; it is on the other side; I am waiting for him.”
Wike, who contested the presidential of the PDP, developed grievance with the leaders of PDP began after losing the poll.
The G-5 integrity governors group led by Wike, also called for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu as National Chairman of the party, saying that the North cannot produce the party’s flagbearer and the national chairman.
The group demanded that the position of the national chairman should be zoned to the Southern part of the country.
