PDP Crisis: Wike Vows Never To Accept Northern Dominance

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has vowed never to accept northern dominance in the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party,

This follows the party’s choice of a northern National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu; Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and Director General of the Presidential Campaign, Aminu Tambuwal amid its pending crisis.

Wike argued that no one can convince him otherwise about his fight for internal democracy in the party.

He stated this on Wednesday night while hosting PDP candidates and local government party chairmen from Cross River State at his residence in Port Harcourt, where he donated 25 buses to support their campaigns.

The meeting was a courtesy visit to Wike by the PDP candidates for state and national elections in Cross River State.

Party members further thanked Wike for his strong support having been dumped by their Governor, Ben Ayade who defected to the All Progressives Congress.

While promised to support Cross River PDP candidates and also urged them to aim at winning the elections.
