The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar has sent a message to Nigerians, stating that he did not lose the 2023 polls.

Atiku made the claim while speaking at a reception organized by the PDP Governors Forum (PDP GF) for outgoing, re-elected, newly elected, and former governors.

The Former Vice-President urged PDP members to examine how the party receded from being the oldest and most dominant political party in 1999 to its present status.

During the event, which was held inside Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, Atiku called on PDP members to take a closer look at the party’s decline in recent years.

He emphasized the need for the party to re-examine its strategies and reposition itself to regain its status as the dominant political party in Nigeria.

He said:

“Next time, this kind of event can be organized earlier in the day to allow us have more time so that all the issues, challenges, facing the party can be discussed.

“Let me congratulate you especially those that have been elected or re-elected to various offices.

“We have a number of challenges. We started as a dominant political party in 1999, but since then we have been receding. It is time to take stock and find out why we are receding and how can we make sure that our position as the leading political party in the country can be regained.

“This is a very important challenge that requires a whole day seminar so that we can as a party regain our eminent position in the country.

“We all know that the PDP did not lose the last election. So, we should be determined and focused on retrieving our mandate that has been stolen.”
