Mohammed stated, “We are here with all the governors elected under the party, that are still in the party and a substantial number of former PDP governors, with our leaders, the chairman of the party, and some members of the National Working Committee.”
The committee members include governors Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Caleb Muftwang of Plateau, and Peter Mba of Enugu State, as well as Sen. Seriake Dickson, Sen. Ibrahim Dankwambo, and former governor of Abia State, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu.
Mohammed emphasised the party’s commitment to unity, stating, “The PDP is united,” and assured that the committee will work to strengthen the party’s structures and reclaim its states.

The PDP’s efforts to address internal conflicts and promote unity come amid recent defections, including that of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mohammed responded to the defections, saying, “Rather than diminishing and weakening, it is making us stronger, and we will make sure at least those chapters where we have history, where we have structure, are not left alone.”
