Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors have thrown their weight behind Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the leader of the party in the state, despite opposition from former governor Nyesom Wike.
The PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, insisted that Fubara’s leadership is in order and in line with the party’s constitution.
“The decision of the PDP governors is in order, and that is how it is supposed to be. Governor Fubara is the leader of the party in the state, we are working behind the scenes to ensure that Wike and Fubara come together to work in a manner that PDP is known for,” Mohammed said.
