The defection, which took place after a strategic meeting in Asaba, saw the entire PDP political machinery in Delta move en bloc to the APC.
The mass exodus included Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, members of the state cabinet, local government executives, and key grassroots operatives.
The PDP NWC is expected to set up a caretaker committee to handle the party’s affairs in Delta State for the time being.
