The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sharply criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, labeling it a superficial exercise that fails to address pressing national challenges.

This reaction follows the president’s dismissal of five ministers and the subsequent appointment of seven new ones in a bid to enhance governmental efficiency.

Timothy Osadolor, the Deputy National Youth Leader of the PDP, condemned the reshuffle, describing it as a mere “domestic arrangement” aimed at distracting the public from more critical issues facing the country.

He asserted, “How can you replace filthy rags with another set of filthy rags? Those are cosmetic arrangements to deceive Nigerians.”

Osadolor emphasized that the Nigerian populace is grappling with hunger, insecurity, and unemployment, stating, “The real issue is that the President is malfunctioning in administration. The people need security, jobs, power, and above all, stability.”
