Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given the green light for Ilkay Gundogan’s return this summer.
Gundogan, who left City as a free agent last year, is now available to leave Barcelona, and the club will not block his move.
Initial discussions between Gundogan’s representatives and City have already begun. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared on X that Guardiola has approved the potential return of Gundogan.

Romano noted, “Pep wants Gundogan back, and talks are underway with his representatives. The decision is now up to Gundogan, who also has offers from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.”
