Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants Bernardo Silva to stay at the Etihad despite interest from Barcelona.
Silva has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer.
Speaking at the Legends Trophy golf tournament, Guardiola emphasized Silva’s importance to the team and his hope that the player remains with the Premier League champions.

“Barcelona has never contacted us. There’s been a lot of talk for years, but no one has reached out,” Guardiola said. “I hope he stays; he’s fundamental for us, a gem of a player and a person. If you want a player, you have to call, and that hasn’t happened.”
Silva played a crucial role for City last season, helping them secure the Premier League title.
