Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, has spoken out against the rising insecurity in Nigeria.

In a post on his X account, Obi expressed concern that insecurity has permeated every aspect of the nation’s life, affecting the agricultural, health, and educational sectors.

Obi lamented the constant kidnappings and killings of innocent Nigerians, saying, “Nothing justifies the kidnappings, killings and general sense of insecurity prevalent in the country.”

He highlighted the recent killing and kidnapping of individuals known to him, noting that many such incidents go unreported daily.

Obi called on the government and security forces to renew their efforts to keep citizens safe, saying, “We must not burn down our only nation with terror and violence.”

He also appealed to the criminals to change their ways.

Ganduje Accuses Peter Obi Of Libel, Inciting Death Threats Against Morka

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has accused 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi of libel and inciting his followers to issue death threats against APC spokesman Felix Morka.

Ganduje alleged that Obi lied by claiming that Morka threatened him and his family in a recent interview.
