According to Obi, he and his wife offered prayers of thanksgiving for Nigeria’s continued existence despite decades of challenges and pleaded for God’s forgiveness, wisdom, and mercy upon the country’s leaders and people.

While in Rome, the couple visited the four major Papal Basilicas: St. Mary Major, St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. John Lateran, and St. Peter’s Basilica, passing through the Holy Doors as a symbolic act of intercession for divine mercy upon Nigeria.

Obi shared that they also attended the Papal General Audience at St. Peter’s Basilica, where they met with Pope Leo XIV (@Pontifex).
