Peter Okoye of PSquare’s popular singing group, in an interview, revealed why he separated from his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

The duo parted ways in 2017 causing the dissolution of their band.

Some had blamed it on the role of Jude Okoye, their older brother, as their manager.

During an interview with Joey Akan, Peter Okoye opened up on what led to their five years rift.

He noted the spilt was based on family-related issues and had nothing to do with their music. This was why he kept mute when fans were angry following their break-up.

He said;
“I kept silent. I never said anything. I never said anything, because I knew what the problem was. It was a family issue, and it turned out that PSquare had to pay for it. PSquare was just the sacrifice.”

To the delight of their fans, the brothers reconciled in November 2021 and ended their five-year rift.
