PETROAN Lauds NMDPRA Over Gas Distribution Licences

PETROAN has commended NMDPRA for issuing gas distribution licences to petroleum marketers.

The licences are aimed at guaranteeing Nigeria’s gas expansion initiative, which was launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

PETROAN also announced a partnership with DANGOTE/MRS to improve petroleum distribution nationwide.
The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has described the issuance of gas distribution licences to petroleum marketers by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) as instrumental in repositioning the oil and gas sector.
According to PETROAN’s spokesperson, Joseph Obele, the licences were issued to guarantee Nigeria’s gas expansion initiative launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“Licensees were charged to utilise the licence to ensure that the gas expansion initiative of the President is fully achieved by ensuring seamless distribution of gas to the 774 local government areas of the country.”

In a related development, PETROAN sealed a partnership with DANGOTE/MRS to improve petroleum distribution nationwide.

The National President of PETROAN, Dr Billy Gillis Harry, described the agreement as a show of love from Dangote Refinery, in conjunction with PETROAN, to Nigerians.
“By this agreement reached today, Nigerians will henceforth get the best value for money paid for the purchase of PMS, and the era of price disparity will be a thing of the past, even as consideration for the cost of transportation is included in the scheme.”Dr Harry encouraged Nigerians to be optimistic, saying “better days are ahead.”
Port Harcourt Refinery PMS Price N75 Higher Than Dangote’s – PETROAN
The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has said the price of Premium Motor Spirit churned out by the old Port Harcourt Refinery which resumed production on Tuesday, is ₦75 per litre higher than that sold by the Dangote Refinery.
This was revealed by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joseph Obele, during the official reopening ceremony of the refinery, which is now operating at a capacity of 60,000 barrels per day.
