The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has announced plans to reduce petrol prices nationwide starting Monday, following Dangote Refinery’s decision to cut its ex-depot fuel price.
IPMAN’s National President, Abubakar Maigandi, disclosed this in an interview on Friday, saying that the association’s members will adjust their pump prices in response to the refinery’s move.
“Whether Dangote Refinery or ex-depot petrol price, our members will also reduce. We will announce a fresh fuel price on Monday,” Maigandi said.

Current Prices Across Abuja
On Friday, retail outlets in Abuja sold petrol at varying rates:
NIPCO, AA Rano, Shema: ₦910 per litre
MRS, AP Ardova, Dangote Refinery partners: ₦905 per litre

The Dangote Refinery, which operates a 650,000 barrels-per-day capacity, slashed its ex-depot petrol price to ₦820 per litre on Thursday, down from ₦840.
What’s next?
IPMAN is expected to hold a meeting on Monday to finalise and announce the new pump price nationwide.
