A new board of executives was on sunday inaugurated to oversee the affairs of the Diebiri Governing Council.

The new leadership was sworn into office at the Batan Community Hall, Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State, following the expiration of tenure of the administration.

The DGC has Mr. Alex Misoro as Vice Chairman/Acting Chairman and Comr. Bob Collins Igetei as Secretary.

Other members include Smart Fenimine – Public Relations Officer (PRO), Esther Ogbobine – Assistant Secretary, Egberibo Peter – Spokesman, and Frank Igbaseimokumo – Treasurer.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Misoro said he was “deeply honoured to serve our beloved clan and its people, and I pledge to dedicate myself to the betterment of our clan.”

“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our wise and just leader chief Engr, J.G Orubu and other leaders for entrusting me with this responsibility.

“To my Igbonbiri people and esteemed members of the entire Diebiri Clan, I look forward to making you proud. Together, we shall strive to make our clan a beacon of prosperity, peace, and happiness for all our Indegines.

“My dear people of Diebiri, our unity at this point in time is paramount, Let us work tirelessly to promote our unity and common good to uphold justice and fairness, and to ensure that our kingdom remains a shining example of wisdom and compassion.

“Thank you once again for this rare privilege. May our clan flourish under our collective stewardship, and may we always remain true to the values of honor, duty, and service to our people.”

The Alex Misoro led Diebiri Governing Council replaced will serve for a three year tenure.
